Update 8: VOID Crate, Frozen

Update 8 went live in Stream A Cheese Pull on September 26, 2026, announced by developer Cakestax in the official Giddy Games Discord. It bundles a new template competition, a Template Studio overhaul and a brand-new top crate tier.

FROZEN template competition

The update opens a new TEMPLATE Competition with a Frozen theme:

  • Build the best Frozen template for a chance to win on October 2nd.
  • Entries are decided by votes, and you can submit templates that have already been made — you do not have to build something from scratch.

Template Studio overhaul

  • Verified template creators are here. Reach 1,000 template likes and you become a verified template creator. The announcement screenshot shows the verified badge on a Frozen build template card with 2,400 total downloads and 1,200 likes.
  • A lot of the Template Studio UI was reworked, and the decor shop got a polish pass.

New crate tier: VOID

Crates gained a new top tier — VOID. The announcement puts it plainly: “VOID Is the new crate tier, now better than obsidian!” That makes VOID the tier to grind for on top of the Gold, Diamond and Emerald tiers added in Update 7 (see the Ethereal Event guide).

Codes

No new code shipped with Update 8 — the currently working codes are still listed on our codes page.
