September 4, 2026 Patch Notes
The official Discord posted a Small Patch on September 4, 2026. It is mostly a quality-of-life drop, but it changes two hard limits every builder cares about: the build height limit and the decor cap. Here is everything in the patch, grouped by what it affects.
Save and template fixes
- Build saves not loading in — fixed. Studios that failed to restore when rejoining should load correctly now.
- Template searching and loading is much faster. Browsing and applying templates no longer stalls, so testing a new layout is far quicker.
- You can sell un-needed templates at the selling stand. Templates you no longer want are no longer dead inventory — turn them back into cash.
New building pieces
- Corner wedge and filled stair block added. Both close gaps the old piece set couldn’t, and the patch also fixes the corner gap on Backrooms corner decor from the previous update.
Console and mobile improvements
- Improved console support across menus and building controls.
- Paint and delete tools can now be dragged in your inventory to reorder them.
- Mobile placement improved: drag to multi-place. On phones and tablets you can hold and drag to place several copies of an item in one motion instead of tapping for each one.
Higher limits
- Build height limit increased by 1.5x. Tall stream sets and towers that previously hit an invisible ceiling now fit.
- Decor cap of 1,000 added. The patch introduces a hard ceiling of 1,000 decor pieces per studio — worth keeping in mind for max-size builds.
Context: 20,000 players
Two days before the patch, the developer thanked players for helping the game reach 20,000 players and said “lots of stuff” is planned — this Small Patch is the first drop after that milestone, with bigger updates teased for upcoming Saturdays.
