Setup Cap Removed (Sep 15, 2026)

The official Discord announced SETUP CAP REMOVED on September 15, 2026 — a direct rollback after community pushback. Here is exactly what changed and what limits remain.

The setup cap is gone

  • Setups are no longer capped. The developer’s announcement reads: “After a lot of complaints, which are completely valid, we’ve decided to remove the setup cap. You can now play and progress like before!”
  • Setups won’t ever get capped again, per the same announcement — your full desk layout is safe to grow without a ceiling on total setups.

Caps that stay (for now)

Two other caps remain in place, and the developer flagged that they might still change over the coming days:

  • Pet Age Cap of 150 — unchanged.
  • Setup Level Cap of 1,000 — unchanged.

The announcement closed with an apology for the cap’s rocky run: “Very sorry about this.”

Also this week

  • Grilled cheese only bug fixed (September 14). The developer teased the fix in the #sneaks channel (“Fixing the grilled cheese only bug”) and confirmed it live shortly after with a one-word follow-up: “OUT”.
  • Mini Update coming September 16. The developer is collecting ideas from players — bugs or suggestions — in a Discord thread, so a small drop lands the day after the cap removal.
